Local Government Council for the Whingealotabee shire has announced a project has finished a mere three years after their proposed two-month deadline. Bringing together eight different stakeholders and a sixty-seven-person working group, the project hasn’t always been smooth sailing.
Luc Less, a freelance project manager managed the project had this to say.
“The amount of thoughtful legwork by the previous freelancer on this project impressed me. They had clearly designed a great project plan. So much so, I wondered why they hadn’t rehired this top-flight person to finish the job. I soon realised that the project came second to a cavalcade of arse clowns eager to grab the mic and try to influence the project’s direction. And while we spent a lot of time and energy meticulously picking out important things like which biscuit to have at each meeting and who to throw under the bus next, I was really, really pleased when the project finally ended,” said Luc Less.
“It took a lot of time and effort, and discussions were often lively! But I really believe we’ve created something that will change the face of Whingealotabee Shire. And will stand as a shining example of what we can all do with only $48,000,” enthused Council representative Clue Less (no relation).
The council website will have the eighty-four column Excel-based project, along with email chains and photographs, for locals who want to know more about the project. Once another $125,000 in funding is secured, the team will build a website that facilitates basic search functionality.
When they asked if he’d take part in another round, Luc Less burst into laughter and started spinning like a top before being rolled away by his partner.
Stakeholders and working group will determine the name of the next stage before quotation requests open in 2028.
