The Freelance Jungle, a leading community of practice for freelancers in Australia and New Zealand, is launching a new research initiative aimed at improving client-freelancer relations via the Freelance Value in the Workplace survey.
Since 2012, the Freelance Jungle has been a pivotal force in supporting and advocating for freelancers. This community has helped thousands of freelancers by offering mentorship, client management advice, and educational resources. Now, the Freelance Jungle is focusing on enhancing client-freelancer relationships within Australian workplaces.
The Freelance Value in the Workplace survey aims to gather insights from organisations and businesses to better understand the obstacles they face when working with freelancers. The findings will be used to develop strategies that foster more effective collaboration and stronger partnerships between businesses and freelance professionals.
Key Benefits for Businesses:
- Work More Effectively: Gain valuable insights into managing freelancers successfully, leading to smoother project execution.
- Retain Top Talent: Create an environment where freelancers thrive, creating freelance-friendly workplaces that retain and attract quality talent.
- Qualify Fit: Assess and integrate freelancers based on social dynamics, wellbeing, talent, and ability to ensure a seamless organisational fit.
- Define Key Qualities: Identify essential qualities—reliability, ability, adaptability, and attitude—that align with your organisation’s values.
- Increase Efficiency: Streamline onboarding and communication processes to reduce the time it takes to get freelancers up to speed and complete projects.
The Freelance Jungle’s research initiative seeks to close the communication gap and build more productive and less stressful freelance-client relationships.
